  Dr. Garant is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. She is fun, friendly, and most importantly knowledgeable. My daughter is now 2 months old and I started at another practice. The 'other' practice was always running late, each appointment taking at least 3 hours (at least 2 spent waiting on the doctor). The nurses I delt with were always changing and no one knew what was going on. So I asked around and Dr. Garant and Dr. Smith (both part of Affiliates for Women's Health) came highly highly recommended. The practice is clean and runs VERY smoothly. If your doctor is running behind due to a delivery, they acturally let you know and give you the option to reschedule if neccessary. I also had a single nurse assigned to me so I knew who to call with questions. Specific to Dr. Garant, she was awesome. She has a child of her own so she understands in practice not just in theory. She made me feel at ease at every stage and I recommend her to everyone. She is the only female in the practice, so if you prefer a male OBGYN, all other doctors there are great. I look for a doctor that makes me feel like I am a person not just a number and I got that here!

  My wife went to Anderson for 10+ years then transfered to another dr. when she moved 300 miles away. When we came back she thought she would go to a woman dr. She went to her ONE time. When she found out she may have trouble conceiving she transfered to a dr. with more experience. After geting test results she called to set up an appointment with Garant for a second opinion. Garant said since she went to someone else she could not come back to the practice. This includes Anderson who is in the same practice. So now, when she is scared and worried that she may not be able to conceive, Garant wont see her and wont let her see any other doctor in the Affiliates for Womens Health. This shows a total lack of character and caring.

  Yesterday I was diagnosed with HPV and genital warts, not by Dr. Garant, but by my regular doctor. I was a regular patient with Dr. Garant and had been trying to schedule an appointment since November (when I began to notice symptoms). They kept telling me she was booked and the nurse told me it was a yeast infection and to use Monistat. After she told me to use that in December and then again in January I told her it wasn't working and that I needed to see the doctor. I finally got an appointment in late January. I explained to her nurse what I was experiencing- a severe rash like symptom on my external skin. When I saw Dr. Garant she rushed in, said she couldn't wait to get out. She didn't talk to me at all- besides the "you're doing great" every now and then. she didn't look at the rash, did a wet prep to check for yeast infection and proceeded to leave. I asked her to look at my rash before she left she said don't worry the tests will show the results and sent me home. Tests were negative, I went to my general doctor and she could tell by looking at my skin what it was and it has been confirmed with tests. I wish I could have known back in November. I wish I had not been treated like that. I hope no one else has that experience with this or any doctor.
